Melbourne Spreadsheet Skyline

Melbourne Spreadsheet Skyline

The Melbourne Spreadsheet Skyline is a limited edition print developed in Microsoft Excel, and consists of the word “MELBOURNE” repeated in a variety of tones and line-weights across the page to form the buildings in the skyline of Melbourne when seen from a distance.

This piece depicts a common reality today, that the detail of the city (and its buildings) often goes unnoticed until we get close enough to appreciate the detail.

In 2016 this artwork was awarded "People's Choice" at the East Melbourne Art Show, and was acquired by City of Melbourne for their City Art Collection.

in 2018, it was blogged by Microsoft.com across their social channels for its creative origins in an Excel spreadsheet.

The Melbourne Spreadsheet Skyline is available as both framed and un-framed prints.
